Who we are

We are Catherine McElhinney and Kathryn Turner.

We are disciples of Jesus Christ and have chosen to follow Him within the Catholic tradition.

The website was largely born of work we did together over 20 years in the parish of Holy Cross and St Swithun Wells, Eastleigh, Hampshire, England.

Catherine is currently deputy-head at a Catholic school near Portsmouth. She is also a leading member of the parish liturgy group and looks after the Holy Cross Music Group in our parish.

Kathryn is now Coordinator of Spiritual Formation in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle in the north-east of England and is a member of the Bishops' Conference Spirituality Committee. She was recently awarded a Masters degree in Liturgy at Sarum College, Salisbury using experience from a short visit to Burkina Faso in 2008. She is a writer for the Redemptorists and contributes to the RCIA Network blog.

Together, they have worked with others in the Portsmouth and Clifton dioceses in leading retreat days and workshops for people wanting to explore ways of developing and leading prayer and liturgy groups. At the moment, this work is in abeyance as our homes are 300 miles apart - but who knows what God has in store!
